    What you should know

  • Numerical online tests are a very popular method of 'sifting through' candidates before inviting them to an Assessment Center or an interview.
  • Bear in mind that candidates who successfully pass to the second stage of recruitment process are usually asked to retake their online test during an Assessment Center. This way employer verifies whether it was indeed the candidate, and not their friend or colleague, that took the test in front of the computer.
  • Numerical tests used by employers are usually very similar so it is possible for you to practice them ahead of time and significantly increase your chances of success.
  • Usually candidates have from 30 seconds to 1 minute to answer one question, depending on the 'generosity' of an employer. It is better not to use a calculator when practicing numerical tests as it is possible that you won't be able to use one later during an Assessment Center.
  • Practicing numerical tests might be the most fun way to learn as you don't have to memorize any equations or read any handbooks. You just take one test after another. All you need to have is a computer with Internet access and 30 minutes of free time.
