To assist in maintaining the safety and welfare of all customers within the pool, in line with industry guidance (HSG 179 Managing health and safety in swimming pools)
To create and deliver challenging and supportive learning opportunities to suit the age, ability and learning needs of each pupil
To assess and record the standard and achievement of pupils throughout the programme
To ensure personal lifeguarding and swim teaching qualification are current, with evidence available on site at all times
To be aware of all emergency procedures and assist in avoiding and managing emergency situations
To ensure that all parts of the pool are made secure when not in use
To ensure that all chemicals are correctly used and stored
To provide cover for lifeguarding when required
