Experience
Research and Advanced Development Intern, Kiva Systems - an Amazon company 05/2014 - 08/2014
During my internship at Kiva Systems, I:
- Proposed and designed a user interface that leveraged augmented reality to improve user experience
- Developed autonomous functionalities for prototype robot
- Bolstered experience in computer vision, sensors, Python, ROS, and Linux
Research assistant, University of Pennsylvania--GRASP Research Lab 01/2012 - 05/2014
As a research assistant in the Multi Robot Systems Laboratory--a subset of UPenn's GRASP Robotics Lab--my responsibilities include mechanical design, prototype fabrication, modeling of dynamic systems, as well as other duties.

My first project involved the design and construction of an avian-inspired claw for quadrotor UAV's. PhD Candidate Justin Thomas was the lead researcher on the project, and I was listed as second author on a paper that we published. For more information, please watch the video at:

Research & Development Intern, Corindus Vascular Robotics 05/2013 - 08/2013
As an intern in the Research & Development department, I worked on designing the next-generation vascular intervention robot. I worked closely with a Nicholas Kottenstette, PhD. My daily responsibilities ranged from programming to circuit prototyping to data analysis.

My internship exposed me to the technical, business, and marketing aspects of an engineering company in the medical device field.
Intern/Co-op student, TTI Floor Care North America 05/2011 - 08/2011
As an intern with the Engineering Information System department, I was put in charge of implementing a new piece of software that radically improved the efficiency of product development and manufacturing. I presented my project to the CEO and Engineering Vice-Presidents of TTI. I also conducted a training session for the engineers on how to use the software, as well as created an extensive Administration Guide documenting procedures, solutions, and recommendations that I developed.
